APIARIUM | Bee Powered Cosmetics & Supplements from Hive

At APIARIUM, we take the raw material from the hive – honey, propolis, royal jelly, bee bread, pollen, and beeswax and through a proprietary cold-processing technology, we blend it with carefully selected seeds, plants and fruits to create a range of active, high-performance cosmetics & nutritional supplements. We promote these formulations primarily through collaborating dermatologists, estheticians, pharmacists and spa professionals, with applications in anti-aging, reparative care, sensitive and reactive skin, post-procedure recovery, pediatric dermo-cosmetics, and skin support for athletes and people exposed to intense physical or environmental stress.

The formulations have been defined and refined over more than 15 years by an interdisciplinary team of pharmacists, cosmetic chemists, researchers from the National Beekeeping Institute, food and biochemistry engineers, technologists and university professors. Through rigorous and extensive scientific research, backed by peer-reviewed literature on the bioactive components of bee products (10-HDA in royal jelly, flavonoids and CAPE in propolis, antioxidant and antimicrobial fractions in raw honey, aminoacid and vitamin profiles of pollen and bee bread) we established both the manufacturing technologies and the cosmetic recipes.

The APIARIUM cosmetic range is formulated, produced and notified in compliance with EU Regulation 1223/2009 on cosmetic products, with each product registered in the Cosmetic Product Notification Portal (CPNP) and manufactured under GMP principles aligned with ISO 22716. Later, together with collaborating dermatologists and aestheticians, we developed application protocols, skincare rituals and combined routines with nutritional supplements, and we followed the real-world outcomes on skin closely.

Because no technology is worth anything without exceptional raw material, we were “forced” to be, first and foremost, beekeepers. Our raw materials are sourced almost entirely from our own apiaries. We specialize in harvesting from spontaneous, wild flora, not from monoculture crops (rapeseed, sunflower, corn, etc.), which are frequently genetically modified and treated with herbicides, insecticides and pesticides. The result is a raw base whose phytochemical richness and purity simply cannot be replicated by industrial sourcing.

APIARIUM is the FIRST and EXCLUSIVE processing unit for honey and other bee products authorized by the Romanian National Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (HP) in Timiș County, with integrated HACCP standards and we have extended that same obsession with traceability, cold handling and contamination control into our cosmetics production.

We DO NOT apply heat treatment, lyophilization, pasteurization or hyperfiltration to our bee actives, so their enzymatic and antioxidant integrity is preserved. We DO NOT USE parabens, SLS/SLES, silicones, mineral oils, PEGs, synthetic fragrances, artificial dyes, phenoxyethanol-based systems, or other ingredients routinely flagged by clean-beauty standards. Our products are built on naturally derived raw materials, which means a complete elimination of the irritation, sensitization and long-term side-effects often associated with conventional synthetic cosmetics. In this way, we have managed to match and in several categories surpass the performance of comparable synthetic or semi-synthetic products on the market.
